What this Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy describes what personal data we collect when you use the Emo Kids Connect mobile app, how we use and share it, your rights, and how to contact us.

Scope & Who this Applies To

This Policy applies to users of Emo Kids Connect in the United States where the app operates (city-specific access tied to Emo Kids tours).

Data We Collect

• Account data: username, email address, self-declared birthdate, basic profile fields (bio, interests, gender/sexual orientation if you supply them).
• Profile media: photos and other content you upload.
• Communications: in-app messages (content and metadata) you send and receive.
• Location: city-level location only — we do not collect precise GPS coordinates. We determine city-level location from device/IP or your explicit selection.
• Device & usage data: device type, OS, app version, IP address, crash reports, timestamps, and anonymized usage events.
• Support data: messages and attachments you send to our support team.

We do not collect biometric data, government ID copies, health data, or other sensitive categories unless you voluntarily upload them (not required). If you later opt into ID verification we will notify you and explain how ID data is processed and retained.

How We Use Personal Data

• To operate the service: create/manage accounts, show profiles, enable messaging.
• For safety and policy enforcement: detect abuse, investigate incidents, and protect users.
• For product improvement: internal product analytics and bug fixing — currently we do not use analytics SDKs.
• To respond to support requests and send service messages.

Legal bases (where applicable): provision of service (contractual), legitimate interests (safety, analytics, fraud prevention), and consent (marketing and any future optional analytics/ad features).

Advertising & Third Parties

• We do not display third-party advertising.
• We do not share personal information with advertisers.
• We do not sell personal information. (This includes under California law; see "Do Not Sell" note below.)

If we change this, we will notify users and obtain any required consents and provide opt-out mechanisms.

Marketing & Use of User Content for Marketing

We will only send marketing emails or use your content in marketing if you explicitly opt in. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time via account settings or by contacting info@emokidsofficial.com.

If you opt in to let us use your profile content for marketing, we may use the content you explicitly designate for promotional materials; you retain ownership and can withdraw consent for future uses.

Analytics, SDKs & Tracking (current state)

Current state: the app does not include analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or third-party advertising libraries. The app is intentionally clean of third-party tracking.

Future changes: if we add analytics or tracking, we will update this Policy, describe the provider and purpose, and — where required — obtain user consent or provide opt-out controls.

Who We Share Data With

We may share personal data with:

• Service providers acting on our behalf (hosting, email service providers, analytics if/when enabled). We require them to process data per our instructions and to safeguard data.
• Other users: any profile data or content you make public or send to other users is visible to them.
• Safety & legal recipients: to respond to law enforcement, legal process, or to prevent imminent harm.
• Business transfers: in connection with a sale, merger, or similar transaction; we will require the acquirer to honor this Policy.

Cookies & Similar Technologies

The mobile app does not use browser cookies. Web pages we control may use cookies; standard cookie controls will be provided on any website. Mobile analytics are not used today.

Data Retention

• Account/profile data: retained while your account is active and for up to 2 years after deletion for fraud prevention and safety.
• Messages & uploaded media: retained while your account is active; deleted when you delete your account except where preservation is necessary for safety or legal compliance — such items may be retained for up to 2 years.
• Logs & troubleshooting data: retained for up to 12 months and then aggregated/anonymized.

We will delete or de-identify personal data sooner if required by law or upon verified request, subject to legitimate exceptions.

Your Rights (California & EU-style protections)

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): subject to verification, you may request: (a) categories of personal information collected and disclosed, (b) access to specific pieces of personal information, (c) deletion of personal information, and (d) opt out of sale — we do not sell personal information. We will respond within 45 days of a verified request, extendable once by 45 days with notice.

EU/EEA-style rights (GDPR-style): you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict processing, portability, and object to processing. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days unless law requires otherwise.

How to exercise rights: contact info@emokidsofficial.com with your request and verification info (email on file, account details). We will require reasonable proof of identity before fulfilling sensitive requests.

Children's Privacy

You must be 18 years or older to use Emo Kids Connect. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will disable the account and delete the account data promptly.

International Transfers

Your data will be stored and processed in the United States. Use of the service constitutes consent to transfer and processing in the U.S.

Security

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information consistent with industry standards. No security measure is absolute; if a breach affecting your data occurs we will notify you and authorities as required by law.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, where required, notified to users.
